Shyam is one of our senior family lawyers with 30 years’ experience working as a lawyer in Australia.
After attaining her law degree with Honours at the University of London Shyam commenced her legal career in Western Australia before moving to New South Wales.
30 years in law has meant Shyam has acquired a wealth of experience in all aspects of Family Law. Assisting clients with both financial and parenting matters, her experience includes local and international child support, drafting consent parenting orders to enable shared care of the children, together with the more complicated relocation and recovery applications and those with allegations of child abuse and domestic violence.
In financial matters, Shyam has experience working with small and large matrimonial asset pools, and those involving family businesses, trusts, corporate structures, self-managed superannuation funds and even lottery winnings.
Shyam’s clients find her to be gentle, understanding and calm, her colleagues and adversaries know her to be intelligent, caring and Tenacious (and yes that’s tenacious with a capital ‘T’!).
