You will be required to work within the Commercial, Property and Estates division based at our Sutherland office, which has a strong and loyal client base. Experience in the following practice areas necessary:

Property law and conveyancing.
Wills & Estates.
Local Court litigation.

You will need to have the ability to form long standing relationships with your client base, the ability to work independently in complex matters and be willing to forge a successful career at the firm.

To be successful in this role, you will be well presented, punctual, organised, possess strong attention to detail and be an exceptional individual in fitting with the firm’s culture.

The role is idea to those solicitors wishing to take the next step in their career, maintain file independence and is also suited to solicitors looking to open their own firm or graduate to partnership through our Prime Lawyers Group initiatives.

Job requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ PAE
Court experience in the Local Court.
Punctual.
A strong work ethic and organisational skills.
Ambition.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Family Lawyer - All Offices

We have positions available for Family Lawyers to join our team.

Our family law positions encompass all aspects of family law from children’s matters to complex property disputes, as well as child support. As such, being passionate about Family Law is a must.

Working at Prime will see you being provided with a high level of autonomy, yet also be able to draw on the experience of several other family lawyers within the firm. In addition, you will have a dedicated and experienced paralegal to assist you with administrative aspects of the role.

Experience and qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ post admissions experience
In-depth understanding of the Family Law Act and family law practice and procedure;
Ability to work autonomously on multiple matters from start to finish;
Drafting documents from Consent Orders to Binding Child Support Agreements and Initiating Applications to Binding Financial Agreements;
Ability to run, or brief Counsel for, interim and final hearings;
Ability to run, or brief Counsel for, Arbitrations;
Attending mediations and roundtable conferences
