The Parramatta District Court is located in the Sydney West Trial Court complex and is one of the largest District Court complexes in NSW.
The Court hears criminal matters from a large catchment area, which includes the Local Area Commands of Blacktown, Holroyd, Parramatta, Rosehill, St Mary’s, Quakers Hill and the Hills District.
The Court deals with matters referred to it directly and also, with criminal matters that have been appealed from the various Local Courts in its catchment area.
The types of charges the Court deals with directly include commercial drug supply, armed robbery, kidnapping, serious fraud and sexual assault charges.
